March 15, 2023

Following yesterday afternoon’s meeting with the administrator in regards to the Ballarat gold mine, the AWU can confirm that we are working collaboratively with the state government, the company, and our members to ensure a positive outcome that will keep the mine open and sustain employment opportunities.

The Australian Workers Union is fully committed to working alongside the company and the government to secure the long-term future of the mine and maintain job security for our members. We will continue to work diligently to achieve a stable outcome that benefits all parties involved.
