AWU Members stand up to Rocla

December 4, 2019

In Campbellfield on Monday 11th November Rocla employees took to the picket line for a stoppage on all shifts throughout the day, as part of an enterprise bargaining dispute.

Branch Secretary Ben Davis was present at the stoppage and said “This has been a long time coming. For years and years Rocla management here in Campbellfield and elsewhere just haven’t shown their workforce the respect that they deserve.”

The Rocla members faced windy conditions and a locked gate upon their arrival Monday morning, but nothing could stop the AWU spirit coming through, music was played and a bbq was put on in support for each other, and the wind was perfect to wave the AWU flags.
