Queensland Nickel Settlement

As you may be aware, Clive Palmer has agreed to settle the dispute about Queensland Nickel on 3 August 2019, the summary of the terms of settlement including the:

  • payment of outstanding superannuation entitlements; and
  • any further outstanding wages owed to his employees.

The funds have been received and will be disbursed to the employees that are owed wages, and superannuation.
Queensland Nickel will be paying the outstanding amounts into the bank accounts that were registered with them at the time of their employment.

The AWU will advise the relevant parties to ensure that they are provided the latest details.
