On 26 July 2024, the AWU notified the FWC of a change to its registered rules. The changes concern the composition of executives, the timing of annual general meetings, the removal of redundant sub-rules, changes to loans, grants and donations, and some grammatical amendments.

On 25 February 2022, the AWU notified the FWC of a change to its registered rules. The change concerns administrative arrangements for HSA members.

On 23 July 2021, the AWU applied to the FWC for certification of non-eligibility rule changes. The changes are the deletion of Rule 32A and 62(18) which concern dual office holding.

Change to Conference Timing.

On 1 September 2020, the AWU notified the Fair Work Commission of an alteration to the AWU Rules. The alteration concerns a delay of the 2021 National Conference due to COVID-19.

On 7 July 2020 the AWU notified the Fair Work Commission of changes to its registered rules. The changes concern the composition of the Victorian and South Australian Branch Executives.

On 21 October 2019, the AWU notified the Fair Work Commission of variations to the AWU Rules that were recently approved by the AWU National Executive. The changes concern the abolition of the Queensland Branchā€™s Metals and Construction District.

On 10 September 2019, the AWU notified the FWC of an alteration to its rules (other than eligibility rules). The rule change concerns the composition of the NSW Branch Executive and the Victorian Branch Executive.
