Call on Paid Pandemic Leave for BlueScope workers

The AWU, our members, and employees of BlueScope are calling on management to pay any employee who has been forced to isolate due to COVID being brought into the workplace.

With BlueScope continuing to post significant profits, we believe this is a reasonable request and would be a demonstration of goodwill to all their employees who have laboured continuously throughout the pandemic, many of who have exhausted their Annual Leave entitlements at the business’s request.

We need a strong voice to demand BlueScope pays any Close, Secondary or Casual Contacts as if they were on shift for the entirety of their time in Isolation.
