Our union works to improve our members' wages, conditions, entitlements and health and safety. We do this in a number of ways: On the job representation Stopping unfair treatment of workers Stopping unsafe work practices and equipment Negotiating enterprise agreements Improving minimum award provisions that apply to all employees (even non union members) Representing workers in unfair dismissal cases, industrial commission hearings and WorkCover Conciliation hearings Lobbying governments to improve legal protection for workers We also provide our members with a range of services and membership rewards like cheap home loans, free legal advice, free financial advice and discounts on many products and services.
